VGHT was founded by Victor Gache in 2003.

Victor has been interested in and involved with travelling horses and ponies for many years. As a youngster when he, his sister and brother were competing at shows throughout the country his mother could never reach back far enough to change the gears in the lorry so that was down to Victor in the passenger seat!

So from a very early age, Victor learnt about the smoothness of braking, changing gear and driving style to ensure their ponies arrived at shows on top form and never stressed.

Victor started the business after having worked for a large horse transport company for many years. Standards of care vary immensely in the horse transport industry and the introduction of proper regulation was a welcome move to improve standards.

All our vehicles are kept in top condition. Our trucks have strong, full height partitions and rear air suspension for a safe, comfortable ride. Our Cheval Liberte trailers are built on the ‘Pullman 2’ suspension system with car-like coil springs and gas struts giving a lower floor height and superior stability.

Since starting the business VGHT has travelled horses for top show jumpers, eventers and racehorse trainers, from Olympic horses to Pony Club ponies. But no matter the type of horse, we offer a short hairy shetland exactly the same excellent treatment as a top showjumping horse!
